Owner Ryan Boyd likes to say he’s a “yes man” — whether it’s to help out clients with professional services or a worthy community need that deserves support. He considers giving back to the community a core part of his business identity.
A Louisiana native, Ryan’s love for Southwest Louisiana comes naturally. He came to Lake Charles in 1999 at age 17 — to play football at McNeese State University — and he’s been here ever since. Today, son Reed (tight end) and nephew Jamal Levi (wide receiver/kick returner), both Barbe grads, play football for the Cowboys — and Ryan watches them closely from his seats on the 40-yard line.
Ryan has been immersed in community fundraising for years — for Barbe High School, S.J. Welsh Middle School, McNeese Athletics, Ducks Unlimited, Rotary, Lions Club,Team Green and CCA.
He’s helped with a high-end purse bingo, Ducks Unlimited gun bingo and fundraising for the McNeese Athletic Foundation, baseball and softball.
Ryan is a founding member of the revived Lions Club of Lake Charles. He’s also a past champion of the Lake Charles Got Talent fundraiser!
Twisted Vines is pleased to donate significant labor and materials to the community and to worthy fundraisers.
- We donate bicycles through an employee match program that doubles the number of donated gift bikes.
- We also often provide free services, such as grass-cutting grass, quietly and cheerfully.
- We emphasize community involvement and commitment to service — and, you can see, we have deep ties to charitable organizations and local athletics.
We’re proud of our business achievements and community impact, because they’re extensions of our philosophy of generosity, reliability, and year-round excellence.
